DLSS 5 · launches Sept 3, 2026

DLSS 5 only runs on RTX 50 GPUs. Rent one before you buy one.

NVIDIA's new 3D-Guided Neural Rendering is exclusive to the GeForce RTX 50 series — no RTX 40, no exceptions. Rent an RTX 5090 or RTX 5060 Ti cloud PC by the hour and see it running tonight.

No $2,000 gamble

An RTX 5090 costs more than most people spend on a whole PC. Rent one for an hour or two and decide if DLSS 5 is worth upgrading for — before you buy anything.

Bring your own games

It's a full Windows desktop with admin rights. Log into your own Steam/GOG/Epic account, install a launch-day title, and DLSS 5 just works — same as on your own hardware.

GeForce NOW works too — Ultimate only

DLSS 5 also runs on GeForce NOW, but only for Ultimate-tier members streaming from NVIDIA's RTX 5080 cloud machines. Free and Priority tiers don't get it.

What is DLSS 5, actually?

The questions people are actually typing into Google this week.

What is DLSS 5?

DLSS 5 adds 3D-Guided Neural Rendering — an AI model that reads a scene's actual geometry and materials (hair, fabric, skin, lighting) and repaints the lighting and material response in real time. It's a new layer on top of the DLSS you already know: Super Resolution, Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction all still exist and can run alongside it.

When does it release, and in what?

NVIDIA shipped DLSS 5 on September 3, 2026. The first supported title is NBA 2K27, with roughly 15 games confirmed at launch — including Starfield, Assassin's Creed Shadows, Hogwarts Legacy and Oblivion Remastered — plus GeForce NOW.

Which GPUs support DLSS 5?

GeForce RTX 50 series only — RTX 5060, 5060 Ti, 5070, 5080, 5090 and the workstation Blackwell cards. NVIDIA confirmed it does not run on RTX 40, 30 or older cards, even though those still get DLSS 4's Super Resolution and Frame Generation.

How do I try DLSS 5 without buying an RTX 50 GPU?

Rent one. Render PC has RTX 5090 and RTX 5060 Ti Windows desktops billed by the hour. On the rented machine: install the September 3 GeForce Game Ready Driver (required — DLSS 5 won't show up without it), log into your own Steam/GOG/Epic account, and launch a supported title. In-game, open Video Settings and switch DLSS Neural Rendering to On — press F9 during play or a replay to toggle it live and compare. An hour or two is enough to see it for less than the price of a coffee, with zero commitment beyond that.

FAQ

A few more things people ask before renting.

Which game should I actually test it in first?

NBA 2K27 is the only title confirmed to have DLSS 5 live on day one (Sept 3). The other ~14 launch titles (Starfield, Assassin's Creed Shadows, Hogwarts Legacy, Oblivion Remastered, etc.) are confirmed but may patch it in on their own schedule — check each game's patch notes before you rent if you want a specific one.

Is DLSS 5 the same as DLSS 4?

No. DLSS 4 (RTX 50 launch, early 2025) added Multi Frame Generation. DLSS 5 is a separate, additional feature — real-time neural rendering of lighting and materials — that ships alongside DLSS 4's existing tools, not instead of them.

Will my save data or installs persist between rentals?

Hourly PC machines are wiped between sessions, same as any hourly rental — perfect for a one-off test. If you want to keep a game installed across multiple test sessions, rent by the day instead of the hour on the same machine.

Do I need to own the game to test DLSS 5?

Yes, you log into your own Steam/GOG/Epic account on the rented desktop — the machine doesn't come with games pre-installed. GeForce NOW is the exception if your GFN library already includes a launch title.

Do you require KYC or a card?

No. You pay with USDT (BEP-20 / BSC) and top up from $5 — only what you need. There's no card, no bank link, and no identity verification.

Where are the machines, and does latency matter for this?

Southeast Asia. For judging visual quality (the point of testing DLSS 5) latency barely matters — even a laggy stream still shows you the lighting and material difference clearly.
